Antique seaweed pressings? Or watercolors. From Europe Europe I'm in usa
Our take
I recently came across some intriguing antique seaweed pressings and watercolors at an estate sale in the USA, with many pieces originating from Europe. I'm particularly interested in vintage seaweed and sea coral specimen pressings from around 1936. I would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with these types of collectibles, especially regarding their authenticity. The asking price is $195 each, which seems reasonable if they are genuine. Any guidance on distinguishing real specimens from painted reproductions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
