From salt to silicon: industrial evolution and freshwater dependence on Chinaâs Daishan Island
This study investigates the impact of rapid industrial evolution on freshwater security in Daishan Island, Zhoushan City, China. It highlights the relationship between socioeconomic development and freshwater systems, emphasizing the need for sustainable strategies on small islands. By analyzing standardized datasets from 2010 to 2019, the research employs information entropy analysis and principal component regression to assess how industrial changes affect freshwater use and pollution.
