A man was taken to hospital after a ship collided with a dockside crane at the Port of Tyne in South Shields, northeast England, on Sunday afternoon, causing the crane to collapse.
Northumbria Police said it was called to the port at around 13:00 BST after receiving reports that a ship had collided with a crane. The force said the reason for the collision was not yet known.
Emergency services attended the scene and found a man injured. Police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he remains in hospital.
Images from the incident showed the crane lying on its side and leaning against part of a container vessel.
Several cargo containers aboard the BG Orange, a vessel operated by BG Freight Line, appeared to have moved from their original positions.
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said it was called to the incident at 13:02 and sent three double-crewed ambulances, two clinical team leaders, a duty officer and three vehicles from its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
The ambulance service was also supported by the Great North Air Ambulance Service. One patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, while a HART vehicle remained at the scene to support the fire service.

Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed it attended the incident.
A witness, Mike from Urbex Drone View, who arrived at the port after the incident while filming the area, reported seeing the damaged crane and several containers on the BG Orange displaced from their original positions.
He said he found the dockside crane in a damaged state and observed the displaced containers aboard the vessel behind a line of emergency service vehicles.
Mike added that the damage showed the seriousness of the incident and that emergency vehicles, including fire engines and ambulances, were present at the scene.
Police said the man remains in hospital and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the ship colliding with the crane. Authorities have not provided further details on the cause of the incident or any impact on port operations.
