ocean action agenda

Measuring ocean health begins with an integrated data ecosystem

Measuring ocean health begins with an integrated data ecosystem, a premise the World Economic Forum rightly places at the center of a new ocean action agenda. We cannot protect what we cannot measure. Validated, real-time ocean intelligence transforms scattered observations into a calibrated climate indicator. Understanding drives protection. For deeper context on one critical pressure point, see our study "Pinpointing the 1000 Rivers Driving Plastic to the Ocean," which quantifies the primary pathways of plastic pollution.
