Through a longitudinal study, we evaluated five Mediterranean sponge species, finding *Chondrosia reniformis* exhibited exceptional resilience with a 91.7% survival rate in a recreational harbor environment. This species demonstrated morphological plasticity, disease resistance, and clonal proliferation, positioning it as a strong candidate for restoring biodiversity in degraded coastal habitats.
