Validating the Data Pipeline for Shark Conservation

Finding reliable, validated datasets for shark conservation is a familiar challenge. A computer science student passionate about marine life is building a capstone around machine learning, yet the readily available data often focuses on attacks rather than populations. Bycatch records from NOAA offer a rich, empirical starting point. Instead of building a dataset from scratch, integrating these fishery reports with climate indicators could yield measurable predictions.
