This study introduces a novel, multi-evidence Bayesian framework for adaptive collision-avoidance timing recognition, moving beyond reliance on fixed thresholds. By integrating maneuvering behavior, relative motion, and risk evolution data from historical AIS trajectories, the system learns encounter-specific trigger thresholds. Experiments involving 6,186 AIS encounters demonstrated avoidance onsets 6.50–8.60 minutes prior to peak collision risk, yielding adaptive thresholds ranging from 0.245 to 0.368, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
