Hiking in Europe, Concerned about TBE virus - ticks

Hello, I’m an 18 yo first time traveller going to Europe for the summer in June. I fly into Germany(cheapest ticket available), then train to Prague > Gosau Austria > Slovenia.

I will be doing 3 days of hiking in Austria and about a week in Slovenia. I’ve recently been told about a tick borne virus known as TBE and am wondering if it will be a concern for me.

Should I be vaccinated before coming and is it something locals are concerned about ?

Sorry if this is a lot of panic over a minor issue, just nervous to be travelling by myself for the first time. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Edit: Thanks so much for the information everyone. I am gong to aim to go to a travel doctor this week and get the first vaccination. I leave my country June 10th so that gives plenty of time to get the two doses. From my understanding this will give adequate protection and the 3rd dose simply extends how long the protection lasts.
