Makeup tips?

I hadn’t really ever thought about wearing makeup in middle school or throughout high school. it just never came to me I guess but I did always feel a bit jealous that everyone suddenly looked so nice wearing makeup in high school but never committed to it because I had a strict mom at the time and she didn’t really teach me where to start. now that I’m out of highschool I had a friend help teach me the basics starting with foundation, concealer, some mascara and thats about it. but im not really sure what else I need and what else I could possibly use? i really like the fake lashes but no clue how to put them on or what type there is🥲 also worried that the base looks a bit too dark on me? any tips or videos I could watch? what brands are good and what routine do I need to follow, concealer first or base?
