Does anybody else just not set their makeup?

it’s winter and I have really dry and flaky skin recently. I usually use setting powder but I noticed it makes my concealer and foundation flake off. I went to the movies recently and forgot to set it, but at the end of the night my base looked great. so I’m opting for just raw dogging my base from now on. anybody else do this??
