PM Dashboard Assistance Please

Hi everyone, so I need some help just figuring out how I would do this. I was tasked with creating an Excel based Project Management dashboard that allows the user to select a project based on a project name and a specific date. This would show notes associated with that date.

That part was easy, I used an INDEX MATCH function, and it works perfect. My problem is that I need to add a button that looks up the Project Name and Date and then overwrites the notes associated for both. I'll need a Macro for this but how would I write this? How would I allow users to add new notes for a future date?
