Our take
We are excited to introduce Aldadrift, a new drift forecasting platform designed for maritime, search and rescue (SAR), and marine technology applications. This innovative tool generates probabilistic forecasts based on the last known position and time, enabling users to track targets such as individuals overboard, oil spills, and debris. With web access, an API, GIS exports, and flexible pay-as-you-go pricing, we aim to enhance accessibility and speed compared to traditional methods.
We’ve been building a drift forecasting tool called Aldadrift for use cases like SAR, man overboard, oil spills, and debris tracking.
The workflow is simple: enter last known position and time, and it produces a probabilistic forecast of where the target may be now and where it may drift next.
We’re aiming for something more accessible and faster to use than traditional tools, with web access, an API, GIS exports, and pay-as-you-go pricing.
